It gave me a start in the series and I certainly enjoyed it, but when I played the Wii version last year I f*cking loved it. I agree that some of those additions would make the Switch version better as you said, but it's because of those technical issues and new art style that makes Heroes' Paradise inferior to the Switch version, so even playing it on an emulator wouldn't really satisfy me. Best additions for the game were Score Attack & the armchair. Kicking the dumpsters on your motorcycles is an alright addition too, but you would have to kick it on your side and it's easier to simply get off the Schpeltiger and kick the dumpsters rather than position yourself correctly with it. Seeing the names of wrestling moves as you perform them was a nice addition, I suppose but nothing really too special. You were also limited to motion controls to recharge your Katana. Loading times are dreadfully long here.Ĭontrols felt delayed and the addition of clicking the analog sticks to perform wrestling moves/deathblows was really odd.

Plus the Killer7 shading from Wii/Switch looked awesome. Those new graphics were unnecessary in my opinion and that contributed to poor performance, especially with the ridiculous camera blood spatter effect. People would still complain about the change in graphics though.

I'm sure heroes paradise wouldn't be so demonized and hated if AQ interactive did a proper job of programming it so the framerate didn't drop every 5 seconds on the ps3 because the combat seemed about the same as on the wii when I played it on an emulator where the framerate stays consistent. Imagine if the switch version had all of those upgrades mixed with 60fps and the wii version's graphics. You could also dig up treasures and open trash cans from your motorcycle instead of having to get off for each one. The DLC included new beam katanas and even henry's cross sabre and skins for your bike. You get to see the names of wrestling moves as you do them and move around with the high charge attack instead of being stuck in place.
